3 reasons you are not getting HIRED

As we know that 30 years ago, a 5 to 10 minutes interview was enough to hire somebody, because hiring managers wanted to hire. Today, it takes from 3 to 6 interviews to get back not more than a negative answer through an automated email.
We have enormous flow of people who are apt with the skill-set required to perform an excellent job but not able to perform well in Interviews. Beside, they have many talents, impressive qualifications, and a positive attitude but yet they are not getting hired because there are three main reason for their failure in the interview process as given below -

3. They look for people who do well on interviews, not those who do well on the job. Under the pressure of the interview in unfamiliar settings many good people don't perform well.

2. They look for perfection that does not exist. Look for passion, talent and attitude!

And number 1:

1. Everyone is looking for 30 year olds with 20 years of experience.

They have some other hidden reason also -

  1. They want top talent with tons of experience but insist on paying low entry level compensation.
  2. They are deep in the hole, their projects are behinds, they used the interview questions to get the right ideas on how to go the right way on solving it!  They don't hire you because you gave them them the solution on hypothetical questions.
  3. They have reached a high turnover because the whole team left due to office politics, toxic environment, idiotic micro manager... They want a front/back kisser and submissive so they can abuse, discriminate and feed their ego to remedy their inferiority complex.
  4. Some of the company emphasis more on his/her Looks rather than a person's capability or Work Experience. They want good looking, Dynamic Personality.
Recruiters specialize in their certain industry areas, so have a good idea of the skill set available on the market at that time and also specialize in reading different peoples personalities and building relationships with people at all levels day in, day out. We know it is not always easy to find a great Recruiter, but we are out there and our job is to match the best candidates with our clients companies/teams and overall specific requirements. It is mostly that HR doesn't understand anything about technologies. Was told once that they don't want to hire people who are not currently working on the specific technology.
